Changing the Language of Body

About Liz Koch
I began my journey as a conceptual artist at the Boston Museum School, where I developed a deep curiosity about perception and how we experience the world. When I was introduced to the Psoas, it was not through studying structure but through the sensory system and movement. I did not sense the psoas as a stabilizer or a hip flexor. Instead, I felt it as a messenger, an intelligent tissue that speaks to our core being.

After I was introduced to embryology, I immediately recognized a scientific system that embraces this bio-intelligent tissue we call psoas. This understanding became the foundation of my life's work.
My mission is to dissolve the objectification of "body" and reconceptualize human beings as biologically intelligent. I believe that changing our perception of body changes everything. By shifting from a mechanistic view to a living, fluid understanding, we open ourselves to fresh impulses, creative expression, and a deeper connection to ourselves and the world.

This is what I call Changing the Language of Body, and it is the heart of everything I do.
